Nestled in the tranquil setting of Forest Park Lodges, this beautiful lodge lies enveloped by greenery, stunning wildlife and gorgeous countrysides in High Bickington, North Devon.
Ideal for couples or a small group of up to four, the property lends itself for the perfect holiday abode and provides easy access to the North Devon countryside, towns and coastline.
Step into the generously sized living space and be washed with natural light from the large windows. Furnished with two sofas and a TV with Sky and DVD-player, it’s an ideal spot for cosy nights in.
The kitchen/diner offers all necessary appliances for whipping up delicious homemade recipes, which can be enjoyed around the generously-sized dining table. There’s also a convenient cloakroom located downstairs.
Head on upstairs and find two identical king-size double bedrooms that offer plenty of space and storage. There’s also a balcony with seating where you can enjoy the rural views, plus an ensuite bathroom with shower over bath.
Outside the property, there’s off-road parking for one car and a little seating area at the front of the house, great for sitting back in the morning sun with your morning cup of coffee.
Take a stroll out of the front door and you’re in ‘Tarka Country’. Explore the surrounding woodlands down to the banks of the River Taw and wander around High Bickington, with its Post Office, two pubs and golf course. You’ll also find plenty of shops,farm food delights and quaint inns throughout other local villages.
Take a short drive to nearby Great Torrington, where you’ll discover independent shops and the Dartington Glassworks, where the glassblowers can be watched in action.
Barnstaple is within close proximity, boasting shops, eateries, museum and Yeo Valley Community Woodland, a nature reserve offering lovely walks and wildlife spots.
Finally, plan a coastal trip within 30 minutes and explore North Devon’s many beaches, such as Instow, Westward Ho!, Bideford and the North Devon AONB areas.
