Lovely family campsite. We've stayed here many times. Booking is easy, the pitches are a good size for our large tent and the showers and toilets are adequately maintained. It's about 10 minutes walk to the beach or the village, and you can buy a few basic bits at the office shop. There's also surf hire and a system for freezer block exchange on site. Very friendly family vibe, but not the place for late night partying etc.

Cherry Tree Farm Campsite in North Devon is certainly a 5star campsite. Very reasonable in price. Allowing you to pay a deposit and the balance due 1 week before you arrive. The facilities are fantastic. Exceptionally clean. Plenty of showers and toilets. On-site little tuck shop where your able to swop your ice-blocks that require a 30p donation for a good cause. Wet suit wash stations. No excuse to leave any rubbish as plenty of bins.Very friendly reception and staff lovely.Plenty of pitches and I’m told it gets very busy over the Summer months which I’m not surprised about. We pitched up in Rocket field which was excellent as you literally walked out the gate, turned right and 5min walk down to the Croyde bay beach. Fabulous for body boarding or surfing with very vigilant life guards allowing you to feel safe at all times.Turning left out the gate and it’s a nice 10min walk into the Croyde Village with some lovely little shops and great places to eat.

We saw the sign at the entrance for Sri Lankan food. Walk up through the campsite, you won't be disappointed. We had a £15 set meal that we shared. Everything was delicious. The staff were lovely, and found a spare picnic table to sit at with a great view over the bay. We also bought a local cider from them to wash it down with. Couldn't fault it. Unfortunately we weren't staying on the site, but it looks like a top camping spot too. Lots of room, great views and handy for the beach and village. I will definitely be back!

Fantastic campsite. Returned today from a 4 night stay at Cherry Tree Farm and already have the holiday blues. Conveniently placed site being a five minute walk to the beach and ten to pubs/bistros/ice cream shop. Although the site was clearly popular at no point did it feel overcrowded, pitches were spacious and we liked the fact that as a couple without children we were put in a field with other campers who also did not have children. No idea if this was consciously planned or not, but it certainly made for a more peaceful break for us. Similarly, we saw other fields that had several families pitched together meaning the kids could make new friends and play together. Nice to come back from the pub one evening to see families playing cricket in the field. The facilities were superb. We never queued for showers or washing up facilities which were all kept immaculately clean. Washing up facilities were also undercover – perfect for adverse weather. It was really refreshing to stay on a site that had ample facilities. I especially appreciated the privacy of the handful of single toilet and sink cubicles dotted around site. Nice to be able to have a wash without having to strip off infront of strangers. Some of these cubicles also had baby changing tables.Staff were superb, and very helpful when our car needed a jump start (thank you!). The Sri Lankan food van on site some evenings was INCREDIBLE and the views of the sea are to die for.Overall, we cannot wait to come back. 5 star campsite, one we will gladly return to for many years!
