This delightful cottage is situated close to Instow beach; an idyllic location on the North Devon coastline. It’s perfect for family holidays, with only a short walk to the beach and village amenities.
The bright, spacious kitchen is modern with patio doors allowing the fresh air to flow in, and has an adjoining dining area – no one need be left cooking all alone! Classic bay windows adorn the living room, where comfy sofas await you and light pours through the glass doors as you enter.
Upstairs, there are three pretty bedrooms, two with unspoiled views of the estuary. Two bathrooms are provided for added convenience, while the top level remains partitioned off. The outdoor patio is gated and secure, offering the ideal spot to store all your beach-related equipment, including surf boards.
Instow is an ideal destination, boasting a sandy beach, picturesque boats and a range of great cafés and restaurants, each offering stunning views. The other renowned North Devon beaches of Westward Ho!, Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton are all in the vicinity, ideal for sunbathing, paddle-boarding or beach-playing. Meanwhile, Bideford and Barnstaple – two historic market towns – provide good shops and night entertainment.

Nestled along the Rivers Taw and Torridge estuary in North Devon, Instow is a small village that offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region.
With its close relationship to the nearby town of Bideford, Instow played a significant role in local trade and commerce growth.

Instow Beach
Instow Beach is a perfect place for a paddle and for the dog to roam free, with only minor restrictions during the summer months.
The beach has fine yellow sand and seems to go on forever. There are sand dunes to explore, even a small stream that enters near the north end.

There is seafront parking along the beach edge, plus much more to the north end of the beach.
Things to do in Instow
Even during the winter/spring, there is often a mobile cafe called “The Galley” parked up outside the Commodore Hotel which services hot drinks and simple snacks.
Instow is the perfect place to have a drink or some food and watch the sunset over Appledore and Bideford.
