I accept we stayed in March and maybe quite different during the season. Lovely and quiet stop, nice to listen to stream gushing past our cabin. We stayed in 1 of 3 cabins, but masses of plots for camping, caravan/motor homes. All amenities seemed to be covered for the campers on site. Wetsuit wash area was also handy for washing down our dog after the 1mile woodland walk around the site (extremely muddy in places due to weather). Slippy underfoot and Hand rail a bit dodgy coming back down! On site cafe/restaurant not open while we were there. Plenty other places to try a short drive away. Overall enjoyed a short and peaceful break here…. and took in sights further afield.

We stayed for 3 nights in Feb. Staff very helpful and friendly. The site is immaculate and toilets kept clean. Great central location whilst feeling secluded surrounded by wildlife and the nice noise of the Brook. The Resteraunt was closed for the whole weekend, this wasn't an issue for us but worth mentioning to anyone that planned to eat on site. The 10 min nature walk from the site to the Woodpecker Inn is a must who serve a fantastic breakfast.

Just home from a great two night stay in our campervan. Had a nice friendly welcome on arrival when everything was explained, and found our pitch no problem. Fresh water available everywhere, and electricity is included in your price until April 2023, when it will be charged per unit because of the crazy price rises we're all suffering currently. The washroom was a little tired, but spotlessly clean and bright. The only slight niggle was the hot water in the showers can take a bit of work – we found running the hot tap in the sink first until it comes through, then set the shower to 45c and don't run it at full power, and you get a hot shower!Very pleased with how dog friendly everything is, with lots of poo bins and designated areas. Didn't find any issue with traffic noise and we had TV reception and 4G signal on our mobiles so didn't need to buy WiFi access. There is wc cassette disposal points, washing and ironing facilities with iron etc.We will definitely be back, and kudos to the owners for being open all year and welcoming dogs.

Stayed sept 2022 site very very run down. Found reception staff in helpful and not very friendly. Pitch very tight. Location wise was good Sadly wouldn't return and to add to it our dogs got lots of ticks from all the foliage around as it's all over hanging and not well kept

Great site. Level pitches. Clean shower blocks but perhaps a little dated. Staff friendly and helpful. Located on 21 bus route linking Illfracombe to Westward Ho! superb for walking South West Coast Path
