Maggie’s Meadows is the secret to a perfect escape only a stone’s throw away from the idyllic English countryside. Surrounded by rolling farms and hills, this family-run campsite is tucked away in the Devon Interior.

Offering half an acre of peaceful meadow with a hardstanding area for parking, there are just enough spots to share amongst a handful of campers. Overlooking the meadow is a serene orchard where you can amble around in the sun whilst the toilet block and kitchenette ensure that all your needs are taken care of during your stay.

Head to the small town of Langtree – just over a mile away from the campsite – to visit the Thursday market and buy local delicacies or beautiful gifts; alternatively, it’s only a 15-minute drive to Great Torrington to eat in the acclaimed RHS Garden Rosemoor restaurant. North Devon Coast is also at your fingertips, only 20 minutes away.

Back at the campsite, there are plenty of opportunities for creating a tranquil atmosphere – light up a campfire, throw onto a barbecue and share tales about the wonderful Devon adventures. For those days when cooking is off the agenda, simply head five minutes away to find a friendly pub in Stibb Cross.
