Stayed here with my wife whilst walking the south west coast path on the 10/4/2024 Arrived around 5.30pm with no prior booking called the wardens number (on reception door) and he came straight round, found us a pitch, showed us the facilities and had us sorted out in 5 minutes! Fantastic service! Great facilities used the showers and washers/dryers everything worked perfectly, lovely clean facilities. Would definitely recommend to south west coast path hikers (or anyone else for that matter) Would definitely visit again.

I arrived late (6.30 pm) after a long day hiking on the south west coast path, without prior booking. Called the telephone number on the door and they immediately came to help me out. Toke their times to show me the sites and pointed out the best shower.Nice sheltered hiking pitch, surrounded by bushes. You would be save in a storm! There was a kettle and a microwave available for some cooking. Perfect!

We stayed the last weekend in April. Fantastic staff, facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean. Lovely woodland walk, with the beach a short walk away. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 5 nights and very sad to leave. We've had a relaxing, peaceful break. The site is very well maintained and they've retained the natural wild beauty. As you walk around the site, it's quiet with stunning views. You can see wild garlic, primroses, bluebells and ferns along embankments throughout. If you're looking for a tranquil holiday, this is the place to go. Stunning woodland walks within the site or you can stroll around the lake bursting with wildlife, plants and trees. The facilities are immaculate. The shower block provides bathrooms rather than a shower cubicle and separate loo. Fantastic for families or those that need help mobility wise. Washers/dryers available at a small cost as well as use of a bath £2.00 for 15 mins hot water. Great for soak after long walks. Free use of hairdryer/iron/ironing board/microwave and kettle. The wardens, incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to help us. They lent us some foam mats so our awning carpet could stay dry as we set up in the rain. Walks to the beach is 5 mins walk and this leads you to the town. We didn't explore and we're happy to enjoy the beach and relax on site every day. The evening skies are worth it as there is light pollution and the dark skies are fantastic. From the site, you can hear the sea. If you love hearing the birds morning chorus, crashing waves, owls tooting all night. Fantastic walks, wardens and good size pitches. This is the place to be. By far, this is the nicest UK site for us as we love wildlife and scenery. Thank you to the wardens for helping us on our arrival and especially for the extra fuss and cuddles you gave our dog. We're looking forward to a return visit.
