We spent there october half-term and it was brilliant idea. We got lodge no 39 which was very comfortable with new decorated, very clean bathrooms (2) and spacious living room with kitchen and 3 bedrooms. The lodge was fully equipped. In the main building is cosy café where adults could enjoy coffe and kids play in the soft play. It was fantastic! The area is beautiful with many walking paths, it is also worth to visit nearby castle (kids had so much fun there, we also!), cliff railway, valley of rocks. We had lovely time in Park Life Resorts!

Spent a few days here and the lodge was amazing. I wasn't expecting everything that came with it: heating, washing machine, toaster, TV etc. It was great and really close to everything we went to visit in Ilfracombe.

Came for a short stay, outside of peak times, during October. Cold, but we were lucky with the weather. Perfect location and a clean site. Halfway between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe, both with handy amenities. Castle right on the doorstep. A short walk to Watermouth harbour and beautiful coastal paths – which lead to private beaches, coves etc.We stayed in a spacious 3 bedroom lodge. Open plan living. 1 large en-suite with bath, 1 double and a twin. Family bathroom. Decking and grass area. We were pleased with the cleanliness. Our lodge also had plenty of board games (possibly privately owned) tea, coffee, washing-up liquid, shampoo bar, towels. Perfect. There’s an on-site restaurant and bar area. We were so so welcomed by the Chef/front of house and his second. The food was okay and reasonably priced for eating out. Big portions, even for little ones. The chef was so accommodating, nothing was ever too much trouble. The chef and second were very family friendly. My child (5) was well looked after, given alternative child-friendly cups and even offered a different chair for relaxing. We slept well that night, with full and merry tummy’s.Unfortunately, I have had to mark down for our experience at the restaurant the next day. (Lunch time) When arrived the lady at reception was on her mobile phone, seemingly trying to look busy as she was hiding it by the keyboard. The lady did not tend to us or the other couple in the restaurant, until prompted by one of the party. We were then told that half of the menu would be off the board (because it was Sunday) as we patiently waited for the chefs arrival. It was explained to us that they were short staffed and there were only 2 members of staff. The lady went back to her desk at reception. When the chef arrived, shortly after, he came to greet us and explained that a couple items on the menu were sold out – but he would be happy to extend us the courtesy of opening up the evening menu. (Again, nothing was ever too much trouble) By the end, we almost fest sorry for this man, as despite being preoccupied he was practically left to fend for himself. Checking up on everyone during their meal, removing glasses and table service – whilst the lady stayed at her desk. The lady gave us the impression that she didn’t want to be there, consequently we felt like a burden with the little contact we had with her. We thought the chef carried himself brilliantly against the odds.It seems that whilst the resort has some absolute diamonds of staff members, there are obviously some that need a refresher of their customer service skills to match up to them. If it were not for the previous nights experience at the restaurant, we would not want to return, as did not feel welcome. We are planning to come back during peak times and hope that we will only have good things to say about this lovely resort.

First time staying in a lodge and wow! Fantastic lodge big , clean and lovely views. Staff are lovely ideal location. Our nieces loved the heated outdoor pool and soft play area. The park is well maintained. It was a fabulous experience looking to book again. Not far from combemartin and Ilfracombe. Highly recommend.

We had travelled down the day after a family bereavement and we didn't know if we had made the right decision or not but we had a really amazing holiday and made some amazing memories which will last a lifetime. Our young daughter has special needs and really adapted well and loved her little holiday home. We visited Watermouth castle, Ilfracombe aquarium, Exmoor zoo, Woolacombe beach (numerous times) Although I stated the lodge could/should have been cleaner this didn't detract from the time we spent there and we would definitely return. 😊
