We’re not normally ones for booking on ‘holiday parks’ preferring to book smaller campsites as we find them more peaceful and quieter. However as keen cyclists we booked at Smytham because of its easy access to the Tarka Trail and I must admit that Smytham’s has blown my previous conceptions of ‘holiday parks’ out of the water! It was beautifully tranquil, exceptionally clean and well maintained, there was always a member of staff around should we need anything. The pitches were of a decent size for our 7.2 meter motorhome and no levelling was required. We will certainly be returning next year and would definitely recommend this site. Thanks to all a Smytham for a wonderful break.

We have just returned home from an amazing 4 nights away camping at Smytham Holiday Park. The park itself is immaculate – There are always staff members buzzing around ensuring the grounds are kept well maintained, bins are emptied, & toilet/shower blocks are clean. The pitch we were on was flat, the grass had been cut, & there was an electric hook for us ready to connect to. The toilet/shower & dishwashing block was moments away & there were two drinking water taps right by us. The toilets & showers were immaculate! The showers are all digital (which was amazing!) as you didn't have the whole temperature control worry you quite often have on campsites! There is a large grass play area with a goal (that my husband & little boy loved!) & we were able to take our cricket down there one evening too, which was a lot of fun! The swimming pool was clean & the water was pleasantly warm. There were sunbeds/chairs/tables placed around the side of the pool & dog hooks if you needed them. There were a variety of food vans that came each evening around 5pm serving a variety of different food. We cooked ourselves mostly, but did treat ourselves to a hog roast & pizza! The shop sold everything necessary, & was very reasonably priced compared to some on-site shops. There was a cosy bar that opens at 6pm where we spent a couple of hours winding down with drinks, bar snacks & card games. There was also darts & a pool table, which was good fun! We walked the Tarka Trail to the Puffin Billy one day & enjoyed a milkshake there. The round trip from the park to the cafe took us around 4 & half hours, going at a steady pace & enjoying the views along the way. Everybody on site was so friendly, from guests to staff! We couldn't fault our stay in any way & already cannot wait to go back! If you're looking for a family, dog friendly quiet resort then this is exactly for you (& again, the cleanliness of the whole park was incredible!) Thank you Smytham Holiday Park! 🐾🌿🪵🏕️🌄

Peaceful site with lovely views and great sunsets. We had a serviced pitch with EHU, water, grey waste and even our own picnic bench! Good spacious level pitches, clean facilities, friendly staff.

We had a tent pitch which was very spacious. Facilities were all spotless. Access to the Tarka trail on our bikes was superb – so happy that we found this campsite – couldn’t recommend it enough!

Excellent place to camp. We had a tent pitch which was big enough for a large 6 man tent, the car and some outside space for us to sit around a table, so plenty of space. We thought the pool was going to be cold as it is an outdoor one but it was pleasantly warm. The staff were friendly and informative. The facilities were very good and clean. It's very nicely located, about 20 minutes from the beach. We will more than likely stay here again as it is one of the best camp sites we have been to.
