Lovely walk to Woolacombe Beach through National Trust owned path. Good facilities, even a sauna and steam room in the toilet and shower block for the campers! Good outdoor pool, indoor pool has slides and decent menu for adults and kids at the bar and restaurant areas. Well stocked shop on site. Nice 15-20minute walk to neighbouring Woolacombe Bay resort if it’s nice weather. We went early July for the weekend before the resort hit peak summer holidays…

Club house is lovely, only problem if you wanted to find a table with chairs too watch the entertainment, forget it. One person from a group would arrive 2 hours early and place coats for 8 people while Granny did her knitting. Most of the evening, these seats would remain empty (as the kiddies did not sit with their parents, they were having fun in slot arcade or running around outside). The site needs a much bigger venue for the evening and to stop pushchairs, blocking fire exits.. beautiful camp, lovely caravans. Spoilt by being overcrowded at entertainment time.

We had the best week at Twitchen House, our accommodation was lovely, we unfortunately had a few rainy days but there is so much to keep you occupied. We could still use the outdoor pool in the rain as it was heated. Entertainment was great for kids. Would definitely stay again!
Il stay with the positives: – lots for kids to do on site – close to the beach/restaurants – can use the other sites in the areaNegatives: On arrival we found our van (a platinum) to not be very clean. There was bugs in the bedroom and also mould where the mattress met the headboard. We asked to move vans; we were then handed keys to the remaining vans and told to find one that was good enough. It was clear that most of these vans had not been used recently and where in need of cleaning. One was crawling with ants.Upon escalating this we where eventually upgraded to the top spec van. Thankfully this was clean and in much better condition. The site manager came round the next day to apologies to us and explaining this incident to be a one off. We had to move one more time due to excessive noise from the hot tubs in the area. This park has a lot of potential but is clearly lacking in experience staff to run it.

We had a brilliant first stay at Twitchen House. We stayed in July for 1 week camping with Electric Hook up. We stayed in K field and were very pleased with the location – we booked 'Electric Pitch on Grass Base' (tents only) up to 6 people & 1 car. Although probably one of the furthest points away on the site, we had great views across the coast and felt very peaceful. We had no issues with noise. We stayed outside of school holidays with 2 adults & 1 toddler. The pitch was flat and spacious, we had a 6 man tent, plus a porch and gazebo & parked car and still had loads of room around us. We had a water point on our pitch too. The grounds were so well kept, loads of flowers, shrubs, hedges, trees etc & the groundsmen were around the site maintaining during the whole stay. Toilet/shower/pot wash/Laundry block – Was kept very clean, seemed like it was constantly being cleaned. Never queued for shower or toilet or sink. There was also a Sauna and Steam room although we didn't use this was a nice touch. Facilities – for the price we paid I think the facilities are great, based on us having a 2.5 yr old. We used outdoor and indoor pools & flumes, park, soft play, didn't manage to get to the cinema as left too last minute but next time will book in advance. Restaurant/ bar – potentially slightly over priced for the food so we only ate a few times but the pizza was really good (stone baked). We walked to the neighboring site (Woolacombe Bay) which was a stunning walk with views across the bay (although we did take a toddler carrier as probably not pram appropriate – depending on pram/weather). This site was lovely too and has a great deck area with sea views where we enjoyed a coffee after swimming. In terms of location – Woolacombe is fab and its a very short drive down to the coast. You can walk although we didn't. However next time I do want to give this a go!We have rebooked for later in the year to stay in a caravan & will definitely come back to camp again, hopefully next summer.
