Been coming here for the last 5 years but won't be coming again. Downgraded to a smaller van after going to helpline previously- who advised to amend online to not be charged the admin fee. The park would not refund the difference however – appreciate this would have been covered by the insurance but thought that only applied to cancellations not just amending. Totally inflexible quoting T&C's no goodwill for a returning customer – sometimes twice a year. No night time care for unruly guests- two vans across had to put up with a screaming match between a couple for 4 hours.

I stayed here for a week with my family for the first time. Great location, plenty to do for children, friendly staff, clean caravan and beautiful views all around the area. What more could you want!? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning in the future.

Neglectful to Mobility concerned individuals This experience totally ruined my impression of this business. There were good aspects, but has been tarnished by the following. Will not return or recommend.Dear travellers with mobility issues,Neglectful and Concerning Response to Safety Concerns at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park's Park manager Holly Lancaster.I am writing to share my recent experience at Twitchen House Holiday Park and express my disappointment with the management's response to a serious safety concern.During my stay at Twitchen House, I unfortunately experienced a fall in the disabled bathroom due to a wet floor and no signage to notify of said wet floor, which led to a night in A&E and an early departure from our holiday. Despite promptly addressing this issue with the staff, the response from the management has been dismissive and lacking in accountability. In my initial communication, I detailed the lack of wet floor signs in the area, which was confirmed by multiple witnesses, including myself and others I spoke to. However, the response from the Park Manager, Holly Lancaster, claimed that there were signs placed outside the disabled toilets. This assertion contradicts the reality of the situation and raises concerns about the integrity of their response.Furthermore, the suggestion that the floor was anti-slip is not only contradicted by my experience but also by the nature of my injury. As someone reliant on crutches due to recent surgery, I can attest to the fact that the flooring was not adequately slip-resistant, as evidenced by my fall.Despite my attempts to engage in constructive dialogue and seek resolution, my follow-up email expressing dissatisfaction with their response has been met with silence for five days now. This lack of responsiveness only compounds my frustration and leaves me questioning the commitment of Twitchen House to guest safety and satisfaction. It is disheartening to see a disregard for guest concerns and a failure to take responsibility for preventable incidents. As a paying customer, I expect a higher standard of care and accountability from hospitality establishments, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of guests and especially those with mobility concerns.I urge prospective visitors to consider these factors before choosing Twitchen House Holiday Park for their next holiday destination. It is my hope that by sharing my experience publicly, the management will take notice and take the necessary steps to address these issues and prevent similar incidents in the future.Read less Tip: If you fall on a wet floor in disabled bathroom (without signage), apparently it is your fault. So be very careful if you choose to go here.

First day I went and ordered a burger from the restaurant (£15) that came half cooked. It was replaced with another burger that was again pink but crushed into 4 pieces to try and cook it right. It was just left on the plate. The next morning I tried their full breakfast and the sausages tasted like they were turning. The bacon was so hard that I couldn't cut it with a knife. It was obviously left under a heat light for at least 2 hours. I asked for the eggs to be runny and they came half raw and see through. It put me off food for a couple of days. Never seen anything like it. The heated pool was very cold and my son was shivering as soon as he went in. Booked for 5 days and left after 2. Save your money.

Absolutely awful experience from start to finish. Cut our trip early by two days . The place is very happy to take your money but turn a blind eye with serious concerns. Myself and partner paid for the exact same package as our friends, which was gold wave. Paying the extra to have that little luxury feel for comfort. It was anything but. We were expected to walk through muck to get to our caravan. The towels and cot we’d ordered as extra weren’t in our caravan on arrival or thereafter even though we’d mentioned this several times. Travelling with our 15month old just in the toddler stage, we were forever having to clean up mud before letting her play as our shoes got plastered in it walking into our van. Complained at reception and they told us they couldn’t move us unless we paid more. We paid the same as our friends who had the extra accommodating features. There was an empty van right next to theirs but they refused to “upgrade” us for free. How can they call it an “upgrade” when we’d paid for the most expensive band in the first place! Absolutely shocking place. Will never return. The highlight of the trip was the beach but the resort can not take any credit for that. The foot path on the way down is diabolical. A muddy obstacle course, not suitable for a pushchair. But the beach and cove itself were beautiful. And so the only good experience we had was nothing to do with twitchen house resort. A bismal of a place. Crap management. Who wouldn’t give us the time of day, just expected his reception staff to take the footfall for him. Pathetic! A shambles way to run a holiday resort
