Excellent place to break your journey if cycling route 27 coast to coast. Owners friendly and welcoming options for camping and bunk house(the latter leave plenty of time to book) good pizzas at the cafe if pre-booked in the evening. Would highly recommended.

We stayed here last week as a 3 generation family group cycling the Devon coast2coast. It was fantastic. The accommodation was lovely, the service was very friendly and the home cooked evening meal provided was delicious. We stayed in 3 hotels and Yarde orchard on our trip and our children 7 and 9 voted this as their favourite, the adults also agreed.

We stayed in a four-bed family room which was clean and fairly well arranged (no bed lights). The bunk house has three rooms plus a kitchen. There is one toilet and shower so not sure how that works when the place is full. That said, we enjoyed our stay there and would happily stay again.

What a fantastic cafe, my son and his friend came off there racing bikes recently quite badly and the gentleman at the cafe really looked after them both. Can’t thank him enough for his compassion. Top bloke.

The bunk house is very nice and cosy. The only downside is no Internet and you have no reception but with it makes it up by it's nice surroundings.
