Amazing rock formation on a pleasant beach. The beach is about a 30 mins hike from the National Trust car park. The beach has large stones and also large rocks and gulleys need to be traversed to get a good view of the rock. Would prove difficult for the less mobile.
Although we took the path from clovelly and it was a long walk, but it was totally worth Very quite and nice Beautiful views and excellent for being in peace and resting at beach. The beach is full of rocks and nut suitable for going into the water though.

Really nice natural rock formation. Can see a waterfall in the distance to the left. Some old features nearby.Approx 45 mins walk to get there. Steep decline through forest at the end of the walk onto the pebbled beach at the end. If tide is in, it will be difficult to get fotos facing it – only side view.People must have picked up litter from the beach/sea, but left it all there for us to see the harms of plastic.Free parking. Worth the visit.

Simply WOW 😍 Only go when the tide is out, no access if high tide. Parked at national trust car park (donation box). There are few paths to choose from, the one which leads thru the woodland onto coastal path is the shortest 1.5mile ish, but very steep to go down to the beach. I chose to go back the other way, which follows the river on a forestry track, and it was not steep at all. Depending on what time of the year it can be muddy. Beach is loose pebbles, small and big, and then slippery rocks to climb to get close to the Blackchurch rock. It's magnificent. The whole coast looks amazing over there.
