East-the-Water is a small village located in the civil parish of Bideford in Devon, England
It lies on the western side of the River Torridge, just over a mile from the centre of Bideford
With centuries of history, this Ancient village has remained largely unspoilt and offers visitors a tranquil escape with its stunning views of the surrounding countryside
Here you can explore ancient streets and buildings including the historic 1st century church ‘St Mary’s’ and enjoy the abundance of local wildlife
Visitors can experience marine life within river Torridge and take boat trips out onto Appledore bay while capturing breath-taking views of the North Devon coast
