Happily surprised by this beautiful garden. I was a bit worried about visiting in autumn but there was still plenty of colour to enjoy, as well as scents – with the katsura tree dropping sugar-scented leaves. I was thrilled to find a red-leaved tree around one of the large ponds and even more so when we were able to watch mirror, common and ghost carp coming to the surface alongside Canadian geese. I mean you get the idea, this is a tranquil place. The paths are hilly so perhaps not suitable for all but we didn't find them overly steep. It's a valley garden with ponds and marshland in the middle but such a description doesn't really do it justice. Parking is easy enough, at the top and you walk down past the old houses to the entrance. There is a tea room with a lovely view of the gardens. The options were a bit slim for us as we were hoping to have lunch there but we're not fans of quiche or pea soup. There was a good selection of cakes however and cream tea on the menu so that's a win! There are lots of benches throughout the grounds so you could always bring your own should you feel the need but the peace and shelter of the tea room was alluring 🙂All in all a lovely place x

Absolutely stunning! The car park is a short 3 min walk to the gardens. There are 22 acres to explore. Well worth the price of £9. There is a coffee shop and plants for sale. Plenty of places to sit and there are accessible routes for people with mobility issues.

Really enjoyable morning out with family. We visited here whilst on holiday. Unfortunately we don't live close which is a shame because I would have liked to have seen the hydrangeas when they come out. It's a place worth visiting more than once. Lovely tea room with great food and friendly staff. Got in 2 for 1 with our Gardener's World card. Unfortunately one section of the garden is currently closed for maintenance (trees came down in the storm) but that's because the place is really well looked after and maintained. The plant sale area had a variety of plants at reasonable prices and some of us couldn't help but purchase a little something for our own gardens back home. Lovely place.

Our first visit to Marwood Gardens and certainly not disappointed. The Gardens are beautiful and tranquil. A lovely cafe serving drinks, cakes & lunches. Staff very friendly & helpful. The Gardens are dog friendly as long as kept on a lead. We have taken out a yearly subscription, so we can revisit at anytime. Certainly worth a visit whilst in the area.

Beautiful gardens that are well worth a visit. Just now the bluebells are in their prime and the wisteria is beautiful. Lots of different planting to give interest throughout the year and plenty of routes through to suit everyone. Lovely cafe too.
