Like nearly every other National Trust site i have been to this is such a beautiful place that I would revisit any day!Lots to look at and loads of nice bits for the kids to get involved with including the seasonal activities like the scarecrow hunt and the bat camera!Highly recommend a visit to this wonderful place! I will say, if you are not a national trust member then this can be expensive if you plan to visit multiple times in the year.

Great day out. So much to see. Lovely house to visit as usual with national trust properties but the coach House was really interesting. Who knew there were so many different carriages?! The nature trail walk was well worth it and in future would be good to explore more but my favourite part of the whole day was checking out the bat cam! Found a cute little bat sleeping!

Good, level, short walk around formal garden, carriage museum & main house. Staff friendly, nice cafe with outdoor seating (standard NT menu). Carriage museum was really good, don't skip it. The interiors of the house were beautiful & a picnic by the 'pond' was fantastic in the sunshine. We didn’t do the larger walk to the lake, but the pond was lake size.

A picturesque destination for a day out. The grounds are extensive and offer walks of various lengths. The carriage museum is very interesting with a large and varied display of historic carriages on display. The house itself is well presented and the rooms on show are certainly impressive, but the number of rooms you are actually allowed to visit is small in comparison to the overall size of the property and therefore disappointing. The National Trust tearoom offers the usual sandwiches, hot pasties and soup, all of which are excellent quality. However the service was extremely slow, with queues building, many people gave up and just left without purchasing anything. Overall an enjoyable visit if like ourselves you enjoy walking the grounds and gardens, but probably not worth the journey if you are expecting a large National Trust house to walk through and thoroughly discover.

The garden is beautiful filled with my favourite colours and there's a lovely cafe there. All in all a really good day out
