Fantastic evening My son bought me a twilight spa voucher. I booked the evening I wanted. I also had a friend come with me. We were met by friendly staff. Robes and complimentary flip flops supplied. We used the outside pool, then indoor pool. The spa facilities are fantastic and spotlessly clean. Nearly forgot a cool glass of Prosecco. Relaxation room with wonderful views. Great value for 3 and half hours of relaxation 🙂

Had the most amazing spa day today, couldn’t recommend this place enough. I had the best pregnancy massage and a stunning facial by the lovely Kiera and Ali! I will definitely be returning thank you ladies x

Don't buy a voucher for this Spa unless you want to be told lies that the dates you requested are not available even when they are. They will use the excuse of maintenance work although oddly you can still book those dates online The staff will then promise to phone back 'within the hour' with available dates and you won't hear from them again. Undoubtedly they are hoping that you will eventually give up trying and your voucher will have expired. After a long hard winter I was really looking forward to being pampered but would rather go to a Spa where honesty and respect is valued.

I never usually leave a review for a hotel but on this occasion I felt the need to.Saunton Sands is probably my favourite place to visit and the stunning views speak for themselves. My friend and I chose this hotel for the 2nd year running for our spa trip and tbh I think you're paying 4* price for 3* quality. So below is my summary:Arrival. We booked a specific room (we wanted next door to the one we had last year as it had a bigger balcony) and booked, requesting it last August. Imagine our upset when we were allocated one much much smaller- however to be fair to the receptionist she swiftly moved us into the one we requested stating that no comments as to our preference has been left on the booking. The Spa. Spa was amazing and the 90 mins hot stones massage was worth every single penny! The views from the hot tub and relaxation room are just incredible. No issues here.Music. The restaurant music, directly below us, was a pain. Whilst not so much in the day, the bass was frustrating and actually drowned out the sound of the ocean. When the music didn't stop by midnight (!) I went out to reception (as the phone didn't state the reception phone number) to complain. Once I eventually contacted the night porter, he said "oh sorry that should have gone off hours ago". I hadn't complained sooner as I knew they had a big conference and didn't want to appear a buzz kill. I wish I had gone sooner. 10mins later, the music was off and I quickly fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. The bathroom lacked towel hooks near the bath (seems a silly thing to mention but when wet getting out the shower and dripping wet on tiles…a slip hazard waiting to happen). I started to use hair dryer, and lo and behold, it broke within 4 mins of using- a quick dash to reception in dressing gown (as didnt know reception number) and was swiftly given a new one. The one that broke had a clogged up suction in take bit.Food. Food was great for entire trip. Portion sizes were great and breakfast had everything you could think of. Service in the restaurant was faultless.Last day. So we were informed of scaffolding on the back of the hotel before we arrived and as such we had an £80 discount applied for the inconvenience but they asked if we could let builders on the balcony an hour before check out. Luckily we had already packed and had to decide to leave early, but only because I had to get back to Midlands! They should have waited for us to leave considering we had until 11am (this was 9.50am).Now whilst this reviews appears a little whingey, we paid well over £1000 for a 2 night stay (which included food and spa treatment for 2) – I didn't think for that kind of money there should be any issues…wrong room/music affecting sleep/hairdryer/men on balcony at 9.50!We are looking at alternative places for next year.
