Nice homely feel, good choice of flavored gins and fever tree tonics. The food was very tasty with good sizes. Very Clean, friendly staff who were very efficient. The old and the new works very well here.

Had a pint and dinner here for our week stay in Devon. The Steak and Kidney (and Steak and Ale) pie was such a fantastic choice – ok, they should have had mash, but the chips were delicious and the pie itself was a PROPER pie – not a puff pastry lid, a proper shortcrust full-on barrel. Loved it.

Very friendly, cosy village pub. Had lovely meal of pan-fried skate wing. Tasty food and good selection of drinks. Highly recommended.

We made a booking for 17 people with Rachel…. The food was exceptional, plenty of it and plenty of choice, the desserts were awesome, the service top class!! All the food came out at the same time, piping hot…. Not an empty plate in sight…. I can’t understand why people are leaving poor reviews…. I can’t fault this place at all….. Thankyou so much Rachel and the team… If I had a roast half as good in Bristol I’d be happy…. Definitely going back when we are in the area…

Really delicious food and very friendly staff. We visited between Christmas and New Year and were very impressed with all aspects of the pub. The pies were clearly homemade and very tasty. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was also very nice to have a dog friendly pub with excellent food.
