What an exquisite place! The food was outstanding and so was the service. Well done to the kitchen team for using herbs and foraged ingredients to add depth of flavour in each of the dish, including desserts. This is a destination for foodies and it made our special celebration very special indeed. Thank you.

What a fabulous restaurant. The building and decor were beautiful and tasteful. The service was faultless and excellent advice was given to us by the friendly waitress on the menu. Not too huge a choice which is perfect. Our meals were delicious and some of the best we’ve had in ages. The cocktails were great. The dishes we chose all had wonderful flavours and the seasonal local produce is served with care and imagination. The puddings were all utterly delicious. So glad we went there as it was a last minute decision. We will certainly return when next in the area.

The Farmers arms is well furnished with a lovely atmosphere. The food was first class, extremely tasty and rather exquisite. Toby the chef is only 25, from our understanding and has a bright future ahead of him with food at this standard and would give Rick Stein a run for his money. Our waiter jack was extremely friendly and made our night perfect. We sat in the extension area in the rear, which is stunningly nice, however a slight draw back was the opening/closing of the door straight into the eating area on a chilly evening.

We had a lovely experience here as a family on holiday in North Devon. The food was just perfect – bistro-style, with a relaxed atmosphere. This place offers locally sourced, fresh, non-pretentious, hearty food cooked with real care. All the portion sizes are excellent, and the flavours are so delicate. The waiters were so friendly, and no one seemed to be in a rush. It's also pretty reasonably priced for what it is.

It was on our way to South Wales from Cornwall that we popped into this fantastic place. The staff were so friendly, and the service was impeccable. This place offers a great culinary journey. I especially enjoyed the vegetables and herbs from their garden. Every single bite was tasty.
