Fifth or sixth visit here now and it’s always incredible. The staff are friendly and relaxed but also hugely attentive. The manager knows what he’s doing and how to make people feel welcome. It’s a lovely pub just to have a drink and a chat too – have the homemade crisps and dip to go with it. On this last occasion though it was for dinner, we were sat at a lovely table in the new barn section and the usual exceptional service was provided. The seasonal soup was delicious and well seasoned followed by the cottage pie whilst my partner had the pork belly. Awesome presentation of all of the dishes. This was true too for the custard tart which wasn’t overly sweet so you could taste the variety of strawberries on the dish. A great evening had by all and can’t recommend highly enough.

Such a beautiful place to eat. This restaurant is for people who appreciate food and exciting culinary experiences. I had such a delicious meal here. As a veggie there was only one option but it was absolutely fantastic so no stars lost, but it is always great to have a couple of choices as a vegetarian. Something to consider :) The staff were so friendly and took very good care of us, we had a wonderful time. Some of the 1 star reviews made me laugh!! “Odd food”…. Basically not boring usual pub food!!! Don’t come here if you’re unadventurous.

This place is an absolute gem, especially for 'foodie' types. Very friendly, professional and attentive service. Superb food which was served 'timely' and by staff who knew exactly what was on the menu/plate. Tasty, great quality, good portions. Not overpriced, good value for money given the quality of the food & service. Great decor and very clean. We will be back soon. So pleased we have a restaurant like this locally. Went for sharing Sunday roast.

Doesn't look like a pub from outside, but a lovely little garden round the back. And entry through french doors, inside totally not what you expect, more like a swanky city restaurant (& expensive) but if you just want a drink it's through to a small bar at the front, just bar stools, back through restaurant for relaxed seating back out in garden if nice enough, or upstairs into a 'games room' – poker, mainly, board games and guitar on side .. but slightly disconcerting horse head on wall.. All in all not what we expected when our holiday cottage info stated local pub nearby, nice food, farmers arms..! We just had a drink. Which was nice. But restaurant/ menu looked great (if you're not on a tight budget) 🥴

Called in for a drink in the heatwave. Very friendly and helpful staff , interesting and well priced menu. The building itself is lovely, a restored Devon long house with an in house fish and chip shop. Some great wines and local beers on the bar list, a real addition to the village of Woolsery for sure. I had the Trout which was delicious.
