The Yard Appledore

Been coming to Appledore for over 30 years and this is the first ever time we been here (even when it used to be the old Coach & Horses). The staff are all Welcoming and friendly, the food is way out of this world, it so delicious. The food does come in small portions and is more of a sharing/tapas menu, but it’s fabulous! Practically all the food we tried I would recommend, especially loved the Pardon Peppers, Crispy Holsworthy Belly Pork, Yard Buddha Bowl, Thai Fish Cakes, Cajun Fries, and the King Scallops. As we were paying and getting ready to leave, we decided to book a table for next week again as we loved it to much! Also the tips go to charity! Thanks again, Team Yard👍

We booked The Yard for a midweek birthday celebration after getting a recommendation from a friend. I must say it was better than I expected. The food was super tasty, service was first class, atmosphere for a Wednesday evening was good, nice relaxing music playing in the background when we arrived at 6.45 and the restaurant filled up by 7.45pm it felt trendy and buzzing. We loved the warehouse decor look especially the bronze cutlery and water flasks. We ordered 5 tapas dishes between 2 of us and I think 4 would have been more than enough, you can always add to it if you are still hungry. Well cooked local produce and alcohol, my husband enjoyed his beer and I loved my cocktail "Whole nine yards" Pimm's. Gin and prosecco with lime juice. I also had a dessert, total cost £69 which we felt reasonable for the quality of the food. Something a bit different. We will return. Thanks very much.

Good food, need to remember to add veggies to your order, if you order lamb chops £18, that’s all you get I ordered the salad and chips to make the meal. Flavours good, drink selection good, service okay. Parking at the main car park at the end of the quay. Dog friendly.

Possibly the best meal out we’ve ever had! Incredible vegan food and super friendly staff! We cannot wait air to come back! 10/10 in all areas! Also fantastic wine 🍷

We were lucky to get a walk-in spot along with our two doggies. Such friendly, genuine service and the food and drinks were just incredibly good! We had the Moscow mule with spiced rum and the espresso martini with Baileys! Each tapas dish was so delicious and we left the restaurant feeling so satisfied! Hit the spot – I would have literally ordered every dish on the menu if I could have eaten that much as I loved their take on the different dishes.This is a must visit place!
