The champ is well worth the walk in from westward Ho! Sam is a really genuine, friendly and welcoming host who offered us an excellent selection of real ales along with his charming wit. This is what every pub should inspire to be! Looking forward to returning for some live music and real ale when we are next visiting the area. Long live the Champ! Thanks Sam.

Excellent local pub with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We grabbed a few drinks and had them on the quay which was lovely. Definitely worth a visit if in Appledore

What a great little pub! Good drinks, great atmosphere and service, with regular live music. They don't serve food, so they let you bring your own!
