Lovely all grass campsite. Despite the website suggesting otherwise, our 7.5m van was easily accommodated. Owners very friendly (they collected us from Clovelly a couple of times, which after a very long walk on the SW coast path & a nice evening meal in the pub, was very much appreciated!).There are a few pitches with water taps, so I would ask specifically when you book if that is important to you. You are close to a main road so you do hear some noise, but for us it was no bother at all. When we stayed, leccy was on a generator, which was turned on twice a day. As we were out walking all day, this made no difference to us at all, and I think the owner said their proper leccy should be on in October (2023), but do check if you need all day/ all night hookup.Recommended.
Fab little place! Owners are super friendly and helpful – we were walking the coast path and they offered us a lift to and from Clovelly, even though they were in the middle of doing other things! There's a wee shop with drinks and sweets plus a couple other bits. There's a communal covered seating area. The showers and toilets were clean and did the job just lovely. It's a flat grassed site. Felt really spacious. It's by a road but it's not busy by any stretch and despite the wind and rain, managed to get a decent night's sleep. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Perfect for hiking the coastal path. The very pleasant owners will pick up walkers from the coast at Clovelly, although it's not too far to walk. Facilities are small but excellent. Be aware there are no shops or pubs within walking distance for restocking, but the owner is building a small on-site shop. When we stayed there was an excellent pizza van based up on the island that was a lifesaver.

What a little Gem of a campsite ⛺️ I cannot rate this site enough, its Beautiful, clean and very well look after. Nick, Karen and little Nelly are fab hosts, they can't do enough, always on hand, and happy to help! We had the most amazing time whilst staying here, so glad we found Roey's Retreat and already can't wait to return. Nick's famous BBQ is delious 😋 but I would recommend booking your spaces so they know how many to cater for…… book it you won't regret it. Pitches are MASSIVE, perfect location to walk down to Clovelly, I just can't rate it enough! By far my favourite campsite so far🥰 Keep up the good work guys and we will be back x

Definitely worth the stay! Such a lovely place, espacially for hikers, doing the coast path! We arrived to higher Clovelly .totally exhausted, on a rainy day, after we lost track, and didn't know where we were…Roey himself stopped with his car, asked us if we would go to the campsite, and was just like: "well, I am Roey! Just put your bags in and jump in there, I'll take you there!" He also opened his little shop again to make sure we can comfort ourselves. So, so lovely!!! We'll Never forget this!
