We booked into the house T6. Nice and warm on arrival. Housekeeping could have tackled the spiders (my son didn't like that). The sofa bed was terrible – I'd go as far as it needs to be thrown away. It's certainly had it's time. Lovely grounds. Peacocks were cool for the little ones. Facilities were great. Swimming pool was nice. Staff were nice. But that sofa bed…did I mention it was terrible. Chiropractor needed.

We had a nice stay here. Although the country club is on the busy A388 it never bothered us too much. However during the summer, when you need the windows open, it could be an issue depending on your room and where it is located on site. Our room was comfortable with a lovely size bathroom with both shower and bath. However the curtains were not very effective allowing our room to be too light for a good night's sleep if you are one for darkness. Facilities like the Leisure club were really nice. Although the lockers are in a poor state of repair. Car parking can be a little crowded/tight especially if you return home quite late in the dark. Feather/Hide Dojo is a restaurant franchise separate to the facilities. We ate here on the first evening opting for the burgers and must say they were good. The country club, we understand is about to undertake a massive overhaul and scaffolding is currently being erected. Recommended.

The apartment is very well equipped. 1 minor issue……filter coffee is supplied, but no cafetiere or filters. The food in the restaurant was excellent, but in November, some heating in the bar area would have created a warmer atmosphere. The swimming pool is very good and the steam room was amazing. There is a jacuzzi, but it was still warming up when I arrived. The sauna was out of order due to cleaning 😒. None of these are deal breakers for me. Overall 8/10

We live very nearby and family stayed here. I cannot comment on the room but had the displeasure of meeting the reception staff. One lady was new and was very polite. The other receptionist was extremely rude. I am a wheelchair user and I have a service dog. She said no dogs were allowed in the reception area. He was sat on my lap and I informed her he was a service dog. She said 'rules are rules" I have never had any problems with my service dog before and he comes everywhere with me hense the title "service dog". I will not be recommending this hotel due to the nature of my experience. My family who stayed will write their own review We had a meal in the bar and the staff were fantastic with the food being equally as good.

We stayed there for a two day weekend stay, we were surprised by the size the room, as we were expecting a normal hotel room and we actually got a small apartment. With regards the facilities, we were very disappointed, as it has a pool, steam room, sauna and hot tub, one of the main reasons for coming here, but it was not communicated before our visit that they are only open 10am to 5pm, which effectively makes them pointless if you do anything with your day or are there on business.Over the two day stay steam room, sauna and hot tub all failed and were put out of service. Also we were not told before our visit that the onsite restaurant was closed for refurbishment, so if you wanted any food you need to drive. Also we were not told that the onsite bar is closed on Sunday and Monday, these were the two nights we were staying, the reception even directed us to the bar, so it seems they didn't even know.So overall the place has potential, but facilities timing is crazy and makes them pointless.
