It's a bridge! It's an old bridge entering Barnstaple, very busy but historic. If you have time to look at the structure and look at the history you will find it very interesting

Originally built in the 13th century and was no more than 10 feet wide. Been widened about 3 times now to accommodate modern size vehicles. Now been replaced by the Taw Bridge which takes vehicles away from the main centre of Barnstaple along the bypass. Nice to have a stroll over in the evening and enjoy a peaceful walk along the river.
