Come to Appledore for our hols for over 30 years! Love Johns of Appledore and their Deli/Café. Especially love their Carrot Cake and the NEW North Devon Clotted Cream Affogato. Delish!

Ordered their breakfast sandwich and a coffee. For £11.60 I did have high expectations. It was very underwhelming, very greasy (and buttery), unseasoned, and sausages very overdone. I didn’t finish the sandwich. Service was friendly. Coffee was good. 3 for atmosphere but don’t judge on that as it’s on a quiet little village so understandably no one else was there.

Popped down to Johns Deli as I often do living just 5 mins walk away. I was craving a bit of quiche and John's always delivers on the flavour front, lovely homemade bacon and cheese quiche , fair price for the portion and I don't mind paying more for quality. Oli in the Deli was very helpful and polite. Popped in to grocery side to grab a couple essentials and was served by Annie who was also a delight! Well done team Johns :-)

Went there with my sister on a day out. Nice little take away. Freshly made waffles. I got the strawberry and cream waffle. And a take away tea in a fully recyclable cup. The waffle was lovely and staff very nice.

Superb! We were on holiday in Appledore and popped into Johns deli to get some treats. Wow, we were blown away by the choice and stocked up for the week – no need to go anywhere else for provisions (we ate out locally on several nights of our stay). The service was excellent – very personalised when I was asking for recommendations and without the usual ‘sales pitch’ designed to make me spend more than planned (I did that anyway though😂😂). The quality of everything we tried – local cheeses, pies and other deli specials – was top notch and we bought a few extra jars of jams, chutneys and marmalade to take home with us. We also tried the best breakfast butty as a birthday treat one morning – a wonderful messy meal which kept us going all day. So good that we had another the following day which was equally impressive. Thank you so much, we’re already looking forward to our next visit!
