I purchased this loaf in instow this morning and it tasted very stale. Extremely disappointing for a 3 pound loaf. I did inform a member of staff later in the day when I was passing.I have bought bread before and it has been really nice. But it should be consistently good.

I love John's. It's not cheap but the quality of the food and produce is very good. Lots of local products for sale and unusual deli items. The café is very good with nice coffee from local roasters. I can heartily recommend to locals and tourists alike

Went in for lunch today. Cafe was very quiet. Was shown to a table and given menus. From that moment on we were totally ignored. Waited 15 minutes and customers who came in after us were served but we were still ignored while the girl stood behind counter putting labels on produce. Very disappointed as we spent a lot of money in the store this week and we left without being served.

Had lunch with wife here today. Staff very welcoming..Gorgeous Grey and Breezy Breakfast tea very nice. Had a Full West Country Breakfast and wife had Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon. Good size portions,wife couldn't finish hers but food enjoyed. Thank you
