A dog friendly cafe where we decided to have breakfast as it started pouring with rain. We came in the dog entry door and we’re sat down with menus, we ordered breakfasts and we’re not disappointed, two of us had the veggie stack. On the menu it said it came with spinach although there wasn’t any, however I was offered extra mushrooms as I do not like avocado. My mum ordered a poached egg with hers and she was happy as it was perfectly cooked and still runny in the middle. My dad ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich and was happy with it too. The dog entry door seemed to be locked and the staff had to let people in, it wasn’t great considering the weather but apart from that no complaints. The staff were friendly and attentive and we had a little nosy around the shop after picking up a few treats as we left.

A must if you’re visiting Instow. Charming cafe and deli overlooking the estuary and Instow beach. Comes as no surprise that they’ve won national Farmshop and deli awards. It’s a second generation family business – the owners Sue and Anthony are really passionate, hard working and highly knowledgeable. They source amazing produce and have developed a really diverse range. They were also one of the first delis to support and stock my local business’s (Boom Kitchen) curry kits. Coffee, cakes, crab sandwiches and this enormous gooey cheese that I can’t remember the name of are among my favourites there. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely little deli cafe and dog friendly! I wasn’t overly impressed by the deli salads as mine seemed like it wasn’t very fresh. I had the tortilla which had lovely ingredients, I just found it had gone hard on some of the edges. Perhaps left out a little too long? The tomato & onion salad had a strange taste to it like it had been kept inside a container overnight. However, for afters I had a strawberry, banana and almond milk smoothie & oh my, it was delicious! I could actually taste the almond so it must have been homemade almond milk? The combination of the 2 fruits and almond was a wonderful taste and it was so fresh & not too sweet. My partner had a quiche & potato salad which she thoroughly enjoyed! Not a scrap of food left on the plate. We also indulged in some homemade cakes, a lemon drizzle & peanut butter cake, massive slices so big we could not finish them but we gave it a good go! Lovely cakes 😇

We had a wonderful lunch today! All the servers were very friendly and kind to us and our children. Morgan, our main server, was helpful and very polite. The food was incredible and very quick to come out. We loved that we can buy the produce used to make the meal right there in the shop. We can’t wait to come back!

A group of 9 of us stopped at Johns in Instow for brunch whilst cycling part of the Tarka Trail. Some had the cooked breakfast, some the pasties, one had crab roll and two others had toasted ham and cheese sandwiches. We all enjoyed our meals which were well presented and delivered in a timely manner. In fact we enjoyed them so much that we returned the next day for cream teas! Delicious! On both occasions the staff were attentive and accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend Thank you!
