Bought a pair of walking boots, £42 cheap enough, not bad but wouldn’t expect to have to throw them away with a hole in the sole, after 4 months moderate use….

Largish outdoor store, based in a fairly soulless out of town retail complex. I _think_ Mountain Warehouse only sell own-brand goods which are not (in my experience) always the best quality, but we managed to get a pair of decent-enough-looking walking boots for my son and the staff were friendly enough.Mountain Warehouse seems to have adopted a DFS-like model, whereby there is a permanent sale with items being listed at a (likely fictional for all practical purposes) 'original price', but then scored through multiple times to give the 'actual' (and seemingly heavily discounted) price.

Worst customer service ever. After spending a great deal of money over the years I went to the Bideford branch to buy gas for a party grill I had bought on one of my visits to another branch whilst holidaying. The branch did not have the gas required. (Not a problem). I asked for suggestions where I may be able to get some and was told that if I wasn't buying anything he could not tell me. Perhaps the lesson a customer is for life not that single purchase. Anyway I would like to thank the shop worker because if it was not for him I would never have gone into Trespass. Great shop and so helpful.
