This is the best pub in Bideford Matt the owner and his wife are so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is so chilled and the locals are very kind and nice. I would recommend a visit if from out of town as other pubs in area are bit unsettling. Prices are reasonable and it's clean and well maintained, they don't do food to my knowledge only bar snacks it's a proper boozer :). A big thanks to the staff and locals you made our visits and holiday a worthy experience and will be back anytime we are in Devon

We stopped here whilst some of our party went shopping. The vibe was friendly – albeit a bit odd as everyone was absorbed by a random rugby match (it wasn't even the six nations!). Drinks were affordable with a good range of ciders I haven't tried.

Nice, friendly local pub with sell kept local cask ales. Gets a bit loud and crowded round the bar despite lots of seating. Quieter over in the lounge area to the left of the bar. My favourite pub in Bideford.

Best pub around! Really dog friendly. First time my dog has slept in a pub in a while. She was very happy here. 11/10 would recommend to anyone

Clean & well presented interior to this traditional pub. Friendly staff & punters. 4 real ales on hand pumps, all in good condition. Reasonable prices. Will definitely visit again.
