Lovely little pub. Mixture of locals and tourists. Local ales on tap which were all very good. They don’t do food, but that is a good thing as I prefer a wet pub if I’m going out for social drink. Made it my local whilst on holiday. Enjoyed a shanty band one night and a blues band on another. Great atmosphere. Best pub in Appledore. Enjoy this type of pub whilst you still can.

The champ is well worth the walk in from westward Ho! Sam is a really genuine, friendly and welcoming host who offered us an excellent selection of real ales along with his charming wit. This is what every pub should inspire to be! Looking forward to returning for some live music and real ale when we are next visiting the area. Long live the Champ! Thanks Sam.

What a great little pub! Good drinks, great atmosphere and service, with regular live music. They don't serve food, so they let you bring your own!

Gem of a pub in Appledore. Great atmosphere, great staff, great selection of real ales and local ciders, brilliant music. You can even ask to take your drinks down to the Quay.

If you are in town, this is a place you must visit if you enjoy music and drinks. Sweetheart place. I’m in love with this place. Great vibes. Awesome performance by the musicians. The beer is great. I bought my own pizza and initially thought that I would spend an hour but ended up staying for around 2.5 hours till the place got closed for the night. Photos and memories of princess Diana were seen in the pub, who I was a fan of in my school days and admired her work.
