Beautiful campsite and lovely owners! We just stayed here for the weekend with our toddler and it was perfect. Really chilled vibe and dog/family friendly. So close to lots of beautiful beaches and also has a woodland attached with a stream and footpath to a beautiful sandy hidden beach! There’s also a cute little farm shop on site selling good coffee, local produce and takeaway breakfast including fresh pastries! The showers and toilets are clean (with hairdryer and straighteners), shop at reception, fire pits and logs to rent, zip wire and pump track for the kids. We had the best time and so did our toddler.

Wifey and I spent 4 nights here last week with our daughter and her 2 children. All in all a decent stay.We had booked two pitches for 2 tents along with 2 cars, a dog and a gazebo. Each addition comes with a charge. This was new to me but may be the industry norm now. I haven't campsite camped in years. It's possibly a carryover from the post Covid recovery scramble? I don't know. Our pitch was at the northern hegdeline of the main field about 100m from the secondary showers and toilets block as you enter the main field. These are in addition to the posh showers and toilets in the main building. They are in a portacabins type set up. Our neighbours and I preferred these showers here as the pressure was better and the water temperature remained comfortably warm and consistent all through the day and night. I understand the posh showers may have struggled with demand as they are closer to the smaller fields between the site entrance and main building. The main field was conical in shape so you walked up one slope from the entrance area and down the other side unless you were allocated a pitch at the top which was slightly flatter. The slope wasnt very steep but we did sleep with out feet downhill from our heads. Some of the pitches towards the centre have had levelled, earth platforms made to make them more level but these could onlt accommodate a big single tent or a campervan and our set up was too large. As is usual with camping our neighbours were lovely and the kids bonded with their kids instantly and were playing games together straightaway. As wifey had travelled down before us with the camping gear our pitches were set up already for when we arrived mid afternoon. The campsite is near the beaches in the area of Woolacombe and Ilfracombe so we had beach days as well as a day at the Big Sheep park which I will review separately. We had rain on the 3rd night but coped otherwise a great stay.On the site they have electric hook ups in some fields, a shop, cafe type eatery, bike hire, a mini zip wire, free freezer to store food, "posher" showers and toilets in the main building, dish washing area and unlimited fresh water supply plus a toilet waste receptacle. So everything you could ever need. We, like most people rented a fire pit which came with a bag of tinder and a bag of logs but at £20 a go I think I would rake my own or a gas fired option instead had I been forewarned. In conclusion, this is the first campsite camping holiday I have had in a long time. We normally camp while attending events such as festivals and kiddy weekends where the camping price is included with the event tickets so I may be out of touch but my impression, upon which this review and overall score is based, was that everything came at an inflated price. I appologise if this is the norm and am sure that seasoned campers will be able to subtract that from my overall review to give them a more real world opinion.P.S. The photos will not upload in the order I select them 😡. The toilets are the less posh ones

We’ve just arrived home after a 6 day stay at Lee Meadow and I can confidently say it’s a 5* from us. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality from Matt, who I believe is one of the owners and an all round nice guy who was really helpful throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are top-notch, the showers and toilets are spotless and the onsite farm shop is well stocked. In addition the kitchen serving the some of the tastiest food each evening was a real touch! (The pork & stuffing baguette with homemade roast potatoes on a Sunday evening was 10/10)The campsite is perfectly situated, offering breathtaking views and easy access to nearby Woolacombe! Whether you're into hiking, cycling, or just soaking up nature, this location has it all. The sunsets here are absolutely mesmerizing, providing the perfect backdrop for an evening by the campfire. Our time at Lee Meadow was truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here. Thank you!P.s A note from our 5yo and 13yo, the zip wire is awesome!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights in early June 2024 with my boyfriend and our spaniel and we all loved it. Amazing showers – large individual cubicles with changing areas and overhead waterfall style heads. Warm and great water pressure. Honestly these showers are better than most people's homes! The breakfast from the farm shop was incredible. Top quality produce and incredibly generous portions. The pitches are large and the whole site was immaculately maintained. Staff were all lovely too. Great location for Woolacombe beach and Ilfracombe. We stayed from Wed-Sat and outside of term-time so it was quiet but given the quality of everything I expect they do their utmost to maintain this during busy times too. Would highly recommend this site if you want somewhere peaceful, well-looked after with great on-site breakfast+shop.
