What an amazing campsite. The lake and woodland are beautiful and the pitches are spacious, peaceful and very well laid out. the composting toilets and washing up area are well appointed and extremely clean and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. We wish we could've stayed longer – I'm sure we'll be back.

A great site with only hand full of pitches but loads of space including a dog field where they can run free and even a children’s field where they can also run free. The facilities are great with good toilets, steaming hot showers and outdoor kitchen area. Hosts were wonderful and the location is easy reach of north Cormwall coast.I highly recommend South Hoggs Hideaway, either as a base for visiting the area, or passing through, great for families and solo travellers kids and dogsDavid

Just had a very relaxing couple of nights stay at this lovely eco site. It's tucked away and a perfect place to unplug and unwind. The owners made me feel so welcome and for a green camping site the facilities were great too. I'll definitely be booking again. Thanks for having me. ⛺

We had a wonderful stay at South Hoggs Hideaway. The Bell tent was beautiful with everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable with fluffy duvets and pillows. Everything was spotlessly clean. The shower was hot and powerful and the location of the bell tent was very private and quiet. It was a little piece of paradise and I can't wait to go back and visit again.

South Hoggs Hideaway is our perfect site! The facilities are immaculate – The toilets and showers were checked and cleaned several times a day so even though they were composting toilets, they were never smelly. The pitches were well spaced out and each one had its own walkway cut into the grass so we weren’t ever intruding on anyone else’s space. The site was very peaceful and the perfect place to relax with a book or watch the wildlife from the comfort of our pitch. The lake was perfect for a little wander to spot even more wildlife. We saw birds of prey, moor hens, geese, rabbits, deer and foxes but didn’t quite manage to spot Justin…. maybe next time!!! The owners couldn’t have been more kind, and welcoming and were extremely helpful, always offering help to carry things to and from our car and checking up on us during the windy weather. We stayed at this campsite for 17 nights and we loved every single one, but our favourite was definitely our last night when we woke the children to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower. It was incredible and the sky was so dark that we could see the Milky Way! We hardly ever return to the same campsites that we have visited before, as we love to find new places to visit, however, this site is the exception! We definitely will be back!
