Asda Bideford

Asda Bideford, now a popular shopping destination for the local community, first opened its doors on June 30, 2008.

Decent sized Asda, with free car parking, shared with other retail outlets. Staff encountered were all pleasant enough though.

This place has been here for a couple of decades. It does have plenty of free parking, can get busy. Its downfalls are it's store size and selection, also the fresh made bread is not up to scratch I have tasted better, but seems all the supermarkets are either not making fresh bread or it's tasteless and could benefit from going back to traditional recipes. I must also point out it serves more for the fast food world market and all supermarkets should step away from this and get into fresh products. It's in a easy to find location that is now finally getting benefits from new developments that are very close by. This used to be the dead end part of Bideford and basically a dive to co exist with the town. Now north Devon council is partially listening to it's residents hopefully that will also change dramatically and for them to stop being ignorant and feeding the councillors pockets first. This regeneration has more in mind for the whole Torridge community and maybe this pattern will flow towards Torrington and surrounding villages

I am a celiac and after trying the Cornish Pastie cafe and seeing Costa had nothing for me for lunch, we came to Asda. Not only did the ladies in cafe help us out with what was gluten free but they also took such care to make sure it was prepared safely and told me of risks (it was a toastie so would come out of its bag steaming hot) and they were brilliant. I would highly recommend. Thanks to the ladies and staff at Asda Cafe

Not very well Stocked, no foot wear section. Would be better shopping in a larger store. However good for last minute shop.

Staff friendly, usually go at night when they are filling shelves so lots of cages around but I don't mind as not too many people around
