Cheglinch Camping is a unique, popup opportunity to go wild camping in beautiful rural north Devon. Located within easy reach of the village of West Down and its well-stocked shop and pub, the site offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and unspoiled beaches.
Marked pitches give campers plenty of space to pick their own spot with plenty of room for the kids to run around and for taking in the views, and amenities are basic but functional – with mains water, a washing-up sink, and composting toilets – although please note that there are no showers available on-site.
Meanwhile, firepits and wood can be hired or purchased, and barbecues are allowed as long as they’re kept off the ground. With farmland nearby, be aware that there may be occasions where you’ll hear tractors. But shut your eyes and ears and let yourself get lost in this glorious, peaceful spot.
