Walked from Mortehow, took a couple of hours, up and down the coast path, quite steep, great views, came back up the road to the village which was the easy way back. Can be livestock so dogs should be on lead.

You can only reach on foot, around a 2 mile walk, some hills but nothing that steep. Once there it is a lovely spot. The orginal lighthouse fell down. The one here now built in the 70s using much of the original equipment. Three flashes every 10 seconds, no fog signal

We stayed for a week in one of the cottages and had a fantastic stay. It is so peaceful and quiet, a great place for star gazing. If your staying here be aware of the walkers using the road to the lighthouse.

Stayed in one of the cottages adjacent to the lighthouse. The views were great, the single carriage approach road less so- the local museum does a tractor/trailer tour twice a week and if you are unfortunate to time it badly…No mobile reception and functionality no internet, which is only a problem if you need them (kids may freak out at the 1990s vibe this causes).
