Stevenstone Park is an impressive estate located close to the small village of Torrington in Devon, England
It was owned for centuries by the ancient Chichester family, who were granted permission to build a magnificent manor house on the estate in the late 17th century
Today, Stevenstone Park stands as an impressive reminder of Devon’s rich history and grand architecture
The Grade I listed mansion was designed by the renowned Regency architect Sir Jeffry Wyatville, who also designed the wing walls of Windsor Castle during his illustrious career
Surrounded by rolling hills and woodlands, it is a truly stunning sight that visitors can not only admire from afar but which they can also explore
There are public footpaths around the grounds and several events and activities are organized throughout the year so visitors can get a real sense of life at the estate
