The food was a little dry and plain cheese and onion paste was a sludge nice people hot chocolate amazing but overall okay not bad ! Service was a little slow 🐌 but nice view if bideford
I would like to start by saying that the staff were friendly and clearly dog friendly. I am hesitant to continue with the rest of the review but would hope it provides some useful criticism. The service seemed fragmented at times and the staff were quite busy. A few instances had them looking around trying to find who the orders were for. Reading the other reviews this seems an often encountered problem. Since it is self service I would suggest table numbers. We asked if we could have some water for our dog and the staff were happy to say yes. In fact they even brought out a complementary dog biscuit for her which is very much appreciated. However, no water was provided.Unfortunately I found the food to be fairly tasteless. I had cheeseburger with chips. The cheeseburger itself was a standard takeaway style pâté with cheese. It came with no sauce and none was offered. The chips had the typical oven cooked metallic flavour. My suggestion would be to not offer burgers, especially on a waterfront café.I will, no doubt, try the café again at some point in case I just caught them on a particularly bad day.

The fella in charge on Bike Show day has no idea about customer service. The wait for the food was very long as expected as there were so many people in town. We eventually received a plate of uninteresting but warm vegan rolls with cold inedible chips. As this got to our table, the fella was reminded that we were also waiting on the vegetarian pasty. His response was sarcastic as he thanked us for reminding him and he wandered off mumbling something incoherent. Another 20 minutes later, we chased up the missing food and we were told that we had ignored him as he claimed to have been shouting for us. We were sitting at the same seats all the time and it was very quiet. It turns out that the pasty, coleslaw and salad had been sitting in the hot cabinet for those 20 minutes! We took a refund and have no intention of returning. The young girls working there were put in a very uncomfortable position and we felt sorry for them.

Went to Bike show in Bideford. It was very busy and went to the Pannier Pantry. I think it would have been a good idea for the Management to close the doors for a while as it was extremely busy, resulting in people being told it would be half an hour for food. This put extreme pressure on the girls on the counter (who took all the comments on the chin) and a lot of frustrated customers. We waited half an hour for coffee. Food was coming out to people who had ordered but had left. One gentleman bringing out food was extremely rude and this again put the staff under pressure. Not a very nice experience had by myself and other customers, who could only laugh at the way the man was presenting himself to the clientele.
