Nested in the midst of Iddesleigh village’s rolling countryside near Hatherleigh, Devon, Nethercott House is a beautiful Victorian property dating back to the days of a bygone era.
Throughout the year, this unique home serves as the venue for Michael Morpurgo’s Farms for City Children charity; yet at other times it is a perfect set for special occasions or reunions with friends and family.
Spread over three floors, the house consists of eight bedrooms, five dormitory-style bunk rooms (2’6″ beds), two twin rooms, one single and a double bed spread over two floors. Guests can enjoy the warmth of the wood burning stove in the sitting room, the grandeur of the Harry Potter like dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen and pantry, and a responsive games room that includes table tennis and table football.
Outside, find sublime green lawns, riverside trails and the Tarka Trail nearby, a fire pit, two ponds, impressive views of Dartmoor National Park, farm buildings and a vegetable garden.
